What happens at the first visit?
The doctors will perform a comprehensive exam. The resulting preliminary diagnosis and treatment plan will provide answers to the following questions:
- Is orthodontic treatment indicated?
- What treatment options are available?
- Is this the appropriate time for treatment?
- What are the steps to begin treatment?
- How long will it take and what is the frequency of visits?
- What are the costs and payment plans?
There are often many different ways to orthodontically treat the same patient, some of which may prove to be a better fit for you/your child. Orthodontic tooth movement often has influences far beyond the teeth such as a long lasting effect on the face, the gum tissue, the appearance of the smile and even how old someone looks!
Dr. Jasmine Gorton and Dr . Bill Schmohl understand the importance of this, so we offer new patient exam appointments outside of the regular clinic hours. This ensures that the doctors can spend the time needed to give you an understanding of your orthodontic needs to help you decide on the best course of action for you or your child.
Contact us if you would like to schedule a complimentary consultation for yourself and/or your child. We look forward to meeting with you!
