Temporary Anchors

In our office, we use Temporary Anchors to optimize facial balance and replace surgery.

Examples of how Temporary Anchors (TADs) are useful during orthodontic treatment:

  • Temporary Anchorage - Marin OrthoAllow more control of direction of tooth movement
  • Surgery cases treated without jaw surgery
  • Eliminate/minimize the need for future implants
  • Eliminate/minimize the need for extractions of permanent teeth
  • Reduced reliance on patient compliance (can replace elastics)
  • Can take the place of headgear
  • Can be combined with braces or Invisalign
  • Anchors not visible during treatment
  • Well tolerated by patients
