Dr. Katie King
Dr. Katie King, a Bay Area native, spent eleven years at the University of Southern California completing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and Orthodontic residency, in which she earned a Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology. Upon graduating, she received the Harry L. Dougherty award for clinical excellence, which is an award given to the resident who demonstrates the highest achievement in clinical orthodontics. She was also awarded for her research on digitally-facilitated orthodontics, which was published on the cover of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
She is a Board Certified orthodontist and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She was recently appointed as a Director of the California Association of Orthodontists. She is interested in Invisalign mechanotherapy, early orthodontic intervention, and sleep medicine.
She lives in Marin with her husband Ryan, who she met on the soccer field. In her free time you will find her hiking California’s highest peaks, training for marathons, playing soccer and skiing. While in residency, she also served as Head Coach of the USC Field Hockey team. Fun fact: She has an identical twin sister!
