In our office, we use Temporary Anchors to optimize facial balance and replace surgery. Examples of how Temporary Anchors (TADs) are useful during orthodontic treatment:
- Allow more control of direction of tooth movement
- Surgery cases treated without jaw surgery
- Eliminate/minimize the need for future implants
- Eliminate/minimize the need for extractions of permanent teeth
- Reduced reliance on patient compliance (can replace elastics)
- Can take the place of headgear
- Can be combined with braces or Invisalign
- Anchors not visible during treatment
- Well tolerated by patients
